FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What makes intelligence
more than a search?

How Digital.nz researches, monitors and interprets New Zealand’s changing digital economy.

01 How is Digital.nz different from asking ChatGPT, Claude or another AI? +

General AI tools can produce a useful one-time summary from the information available at the moment of a prompt. Digital.nz maintains structured New Zealand-focused coverage over time: we select what matters, preserve the history of each case, verify milestones against primary and credible local sources, track unresolved questions and interpret what has changed. AI can assist the research process, but the intelligence value comes from continuity, evidence, local context and editorial judgement.

02 What does continuous monitoring add to a one-off report? +

A one-off report is a snapshot. Continuous monitoring creates a timeline: earlier promises, consent conditions, funding changes, construction milestones, delays, stakeholder positions and emerging risks can be compared as the project develops. That accumulated record often reveals direction and decision risk that cannot be seen in a fresh search alone.

03 What is a Digital.nz Case Tracker? +

A Case Tracker is a living intelligence file for a project or company with enough investment scale, duration or national consequence to justify ongoing coverage. It follows milestones, capital, stakeholders, dependencies, unresolved questions and the next event that matters.

04 Is the information on Digital.nz publicly available? +

Much of the underlying evidence begins with public sources. Digital.nz adds value by finding, organising, cross-checking and connecting fragmented information across company announcements, government and council records, infrastructure data, policy documents and local reporting.

05 Is Digital.nz independent? +

Yes. Digital.nz is an independent intelligence platform. Inclusion in a tracker, report or watchlist is based on relevance and decision value, not an organisation paying to appear. Any sponsored material or commercial relationship will be identified clearly.

06 What intelligence work can Digital.nz provide? +

Digital.nz can prepare focused market briefs, project investigations, location studies, strategic monitoring and New Zealand-grounded introductions for investors, operators, advisers and institutions. Scope and pricing depend on the depth, urgency and monitoring period required.

07 How often is Digital.nz updated? +

Update frequency follows the significance of each subject. Major announcements and decision-relevant changes are reviewed as they occur; living trackers are updated when a meaningful milestone, risk or new source changes the case. Every substantial report or tracker should show its latest verification date.

08 How can I request research or suggest a project to track? +

Email intelligence@digital.nz for a research brief or info@digital.nz to suggest a project, company, opportunity or source. Please include the decision you are trying to make and any timing requirements.
